Hello WONDERFUL COMMUNITY,

Hope this newsletter finds you doing good. Another month is behind us and we are now into May 2023. As we enter this month keep your eyes and ears open. We will close out some Scholarships and prepare for June Scholarships to be rolled out for Seniors of Sebastian River High School going to college August 2023 and Seniors of Sebastian River High School who are all ready in college. The Scholarships applications will be emailed in this Newsletter during the summer 2023 and posted on FACEBOOK.

Last Month we bought through the "It Takes A Village Scholarship" a Prom dress and Prom ticket for a young lady who does live not at home, goings to Sebastian River High School as a senior.

We, The Recycling Club, are available to speak to groups and people including Rotary, Elks, PTAs etc, SAC etc to explain how Kids, Family, Community and Staff can find out more information on what this WONDERFUL COMMUNITY is doing with School Supplies and Scholarships.

During the Month of April we delivered lunch to the front desk of the Schools in North part of Indian River County who accepted the invite for a complimentary lunch for their front desk. The Elementary Schools in North Part of Indian River County front desk are part of the success story of Paper Trading for Ink Cartridges of the staff at their schools. Thank you front desk staff you all have big hearts and lots of patience. #wearethankful!

Last month, April 2023, we also delivered 29 reusable Bags(reusable Bags given to The Recycling Club with different ITEMS collected)of School Supplies to new teachers at the Fellsmere Elementary, Liberty Magnet Elementary, Sebastian Elementary School, Treasure Coast Elementary School and the Charter Junior High School. These were the remaining School Supplies from the School Supply drive and School Supplies donated to us throughout this School year. During the summer of 2023 we will do a School Supply drive to provide school supplies as requested from staff when students return and the remaining School Supplies will go to new teachers of North Indian River County Schools after Spring Break 2024. We like to provide Notebook paper, Pens, Paper, Rulers, Composition Books, Cap Erasers and big Hand Held Erasers, Markers, Dry Erase Markers, High Lighters, Permanent Sharpies, Crayons, Protractors, etc. Our hope is that the non-consumable supplies are used year after year and that the School Supply list get smaller.

Pelican Island Elementary was the recipient of the $75 Wilborn Family Garden Scholarship. We bought requested ITEMS(organic soil, plants-basil, thyme and parsley)and deliver to the the front desk of Pelican Island School for the kids garden at their school. We will also included a packet of Sunflower Seeds for them to grow and enjoy Sunflowers as the Scholarship is named after a family who both attending ITCSD schools and who's son graduated and some of the grandparents attended IRCSD. The family volunteered when their son was in school and still volunteers. The young lady in this family plants Sunflowers every year and shares with her community LOVE and happiness through her pictures of Sunflowers and so much more!
