Hello WONDERFUL COMMUNITY, We hope this newsletter finds you doing good. What a whirl wind school year that just ended. Please keep your eyes and ears open for the Scholarship to be rolled out for Seniors of Sebastian River High School going to college August 2023 and Seniors of Sebastian River High School who are all ready in college. The Scholarship applications will be emailed in this Newsletter during the summer 2023 and posted on FACEBOOK. Last month the "It Takes A Village" Scholarship was completed and the student and their grandparents sent thank you in text to you the WONDERFUL COMMUNITY. This Scholarship paid for school events and ended with a big bang from people who provided a gift box full of LOVE for the senior graduation! We, The Recycling Club, are available to speak to groups and people including Rotary, Elks, PTAs etc., SAC etc. to explain how Kids, Family, Community and Staff can find out more information on what this WONDERFUL COMMUNITY is doing with School Supplies and Scholarships. During this summer, 2023, we will do a School Supply drive to provide school supplies as requested from staff when students return and the remaining School Supplies will go to new teachers of North Indian River County Schools after Spring Break 2024. We like to provide Notebook paper, Pens, Paper, Rulers, Composition Books, Cap Erasers and big Hand Held Erasers, Markers, Dry Erase Markers, High Lighters, Permanent Sharpies, Crayons, Protractors, etc. Our hope is that the non-consumable supplies are used year after year and that the School Supply list get smaller. Pelican Island Elementary was the recipient of the $75 Wilborn Family Garden Scholarship and the teacher sent a thank you via email to The Recycling Club email. This Scholarship will continue again next year. This Scholarship is provided through working the rewards program from FetchIt and Ibotta. We collect grocery, drug store etc. receipts and scan them to cover The $75 Wilborn Family Garden Scholarship. Our dream is to have more than one $75 Wilborn Family Scholarship. Should there be extra money or no applications for this Scholarship the $ will be donated to the Shining Light Garden who enjoys kids in their garden. This NONPROFIT run by Joel Bray is an amazing mission to feed the hungry. Scholarships available at this time are 1 A.V.E.R.Y. $600 Scholarship(application attached). This Scholarship is named after a young lady who has taught us many things especially to LOVE and enjoy each person as they are unique. This scholarship is for an activity for students of IRCSD in North part of County that have a 504 or IEP with IRCSD.
2 Bridging the Gap $500 Scholarship(if you know a senior who is living on their own with out parents/legal guardian email us at TheRecyclingClub@aol.com. This Scholarship is named after Robin Raiff a local Real Estate Agent who helps when she can, is always willing to give her LOVE, and has been there done that with hurdles in life. This Scholarship is available to seniors not living at home attending Sebastian River High School to cover expenses during their Sebastian River High School senior year.
